Summer 2017 is officially underway, and we could not be more excited. This is our favorite time of year at American Resort Management, and with our exceptional experience managing waterparks all across the country, it’s easy to see why! We’re kids at heart, and we still love that feeling of anticipation that comes with waterparks. The suspense of waiting in line that builds and builds until you finally reach the summit, culminating in that heart-pounding, surreal moment just before you go down twisting and turning and laughing, is a feeling you can’t find anywhere but a waterpark. There’s nothing like it, and nothing drives us more than invoking that feeling in all of our guests.
We’re proud of what we do, and we want to share with you a little more about some of our currently managed waterparks, and how they work so hard to keep that incomparable feeling a reality for guests and thrill seekers alike every single day.
Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark
Grand Prairie, Texas
Set to open November of this year, Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark is a unique indoor waterpark project unlike any in the United States. A tandem effort between public and private sectors, this waterpark was truly designed by the people of Grand Prairie to give everyone who visits the park a true taste of what the city has to offer. Part of a massive recreational complex tagged “The Epic,” Epic Waters will feature multiple first-of-its-kind attractions for visitors to enjoy. These include the nation’s tallest indoor Aqualoop in the Lassoloop, the first combination of a Boomerango and Constrictor in the Yellowjacket Drop, and the first indoor double rider Aquasphere inner tube ride in the AquaNaut. Epic Waters’ eleven attractions ensure visitors a wet and wild time, and thanks to a retractable roof over the waterpark, the fun can keep going all year long!
Parrot Island Waterpark
Fort Smith, Arkansas
An outdoor waterpark in warm and sunny Arkansas, Parrot Island delivers fun in the sun to people of all ages. The park boasts a massive four-slide waterslide tower, featuring the Pineapple Plunge, the Pelican Plunge, the Tangerine Twist, and the Blue Macaw. Each slide gives riders a unique thrill, from the Pineapple Plunge’s 40 foot drop at a 45 degree angle to the Tangerine Twist’s 200 feet of high speed twists. The park also features a 500 foot lazy river for those who want to cool down and relax in the sun, as well as an activity pool and a wave pool for those maybe looking to do more than just relax. And of course, the youngest kids have Tiny Turtle Island to run and splash around in, too!
Grand Bear Falls
Grand Bear Falls is just one piece of what makes Grizzly Jack’s Grand Bear Resort a full vacation experience for those who visit. As an indoor waterpark, Grand Bear Falls is able to keep the fun going year-round. The park gives guests the opportunity to ride three fun-for-the-whole-family waterslides, and features a wave pool, lazy river, water fort, and of course a kids’ area for the youngest members of the family to splash around in as well! The waterpark also provides a comforting hot tub for those returning from a long day of hikes at nearby Starved Rock State Park.
Just like waiting in line for our favorite waterslides, we’ve been waiting all year for summer. The anticipation has been mounting, and now we’re finally there. We’re at the top, and we’re next in line. So much is about to happen, and we’ve been beckoned over to take the plunge. Our hearts are racing with all of the excitement of what’s next.
We’re ready. Are you?
